FAQ's - Heal360 Physio and Rehab

Have a question or not sure what to expect? We’ve got you covered!

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

Please arrive on time, as late arrivals can reduce the time available for your assessment and treatment. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. If you have a low back, hip, or knee concern, bring a pair of shorts. For shoulder-related issues, a loose t-shirt or tank top works best. If you have a doctor’s referral, please bring that along as well.

Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to complete intake and health history forms along with a consent form. Your first appointment is typically from 45 minutes to 60 minutes, where your physiotherapist will gather a detailed history of your condition and current symptoms. You may be asked to change into appropriate clothing so a proper posture and movement assessment can be performed. Following the assessment, your physiotherapist will explain the likely cause of your signs, symptoms, or physical impairment based on their assessment and clinical reasoning.

Yes, where the insurance provider permits, we are happy to submit claims directly on your behalf, making the process as seamless as possible for you.

The number of sessions varies depending on your specific condition and how long you’ve been experiencing symptoms. After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will recommend a treatment plan along with an estimated number of sessions to help guide your recovery.

Session length varies depending on the type of service, physiotherapy, massage therapy, or acupuncture. Our team will confirm the exact appointment duration when you book with us.

Not at all. You can begin treatment before receiving your test results. Our physiotherapists will conduct a thorough assessment and develop a working diagnosis to get your recovery started right away. Once your results are available, simply bring a copy to your next appointment so your therapist can review and refine your plan if needed.

No, you do not. Physiotherapists are primary care providers and can assess and treat patients without a referral. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement purposes. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage requirements.

Both are excellent options and work very well together. We generally recommend starting with physiotherapy, as the assessment is more comprehensive and will result in a clear diagnosis and structured treatment plan. Your physiotherapist can also communicate with your massage therapist about specific areas to focus on. Used together, physiotherapy and massage therapy complement each other beautifully, whether your goal is recovery, pain relief, or overall relaxation.
